Workplace Design for Engineering Company
Well-being and Technology
The office space and canteen is a design proposal for a Danish developer and manufacturer of highly specialised machinery.
The vision for the design was to create a cosy and comfortable workplace, which at the same time feels relatable for the people working in the organisation.
The design encompasses many different natural materials, such as wood and stone to offer the benefits these materials provide to our health and well-being. These materials are combined with a range of furniture and lighting, of which many have technical or industrial details and references that ‘speak’ the language of this organisation and matches their identity.
Lay-out and Functions
This workplace offers a dedicated work station for every employee, but in addition, the layout offers a range of different possibilities that provide alternative options to the desk.
The ‘coffee corner’ is designed with a cosy alcove couch, where you can choose to work on your laptop while having your afternoon coffee, as well as a high table, where you can chat about a project with a colleague rather than talking across desks and computer screens. In the canteen, you’ill find 4 different types of seating: traditional canteen seating, a wooden long table, a slightly secluded round table, which can be used as an additional meeting option, and high tables near the entrance for the quick lunch or a coffee chat in the morning.
